GREENSBORO, N.C. — A Greensboro auto repair shop is starting to host a series of classes to educate newly licensed drivers on vehicle maintenance and safety.

The class is taught by the owner of Cox Auto Repair service, Darryl Cox, who believes all new drivers should know how to change a tire, understand what’s under their hood, how to jump start a car, and other important features in owning a car.

The class started out as a way for Cox to help prepare his son and his friends. It sparked so much interest online, that he’s now offering it to others like, Ethan Barbour.

“I’ve been driving for two months, and I haven’t taken a drivers ed class since a year, so i have forgotten a lot of this stuff and it’s good to learn it again," Barbour says.

The next class is Saturday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The class is $50 per person.
