RALEIGH, N.C. — More and more people are feeling comfortable enough to travel as opposed to last year, but some may still have questions about whether they can stay healthy on a trip since the pandemic is not yet over.

Jayne Chambers has more than two decades of travel expertise and owns TravelRight travel agency. She helps clients plan trips all over the globe and says traveling during the pandemic can be simple if you plan ahead.
For example, in New York City you will need proof of vaccination to see a Broadway show.
Internationally, you need a negative COVID test or, in some cases, your vaccination card, plus authorization from the destination country.
“The country will fine the airline $10,000 if they board a passenger without that authorization, so it’s nothing to mess around with,” Chambers said.
Chambers says a travel agent will help you gather your essential documents. Your airline's website should also have all of the documents listed that you will need to travel.
