RALEIGH, N.C. — Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh is hosting a job fair this week on Wednesday and Thursday from noon  to 3 p.m.

Candidates will be able to meet with employers face to face

More than 40 restaurants and stores are participating in the two-day job fair. According to Crabtree, people will be able to meet with employers face to face and interview for full-time, part-time or seasonal positions.

Shelby Friend, the human resources manager at Belk, says the hiring process should be pretty quick.

“Depending on if they’ve already applied, or not, we will get them applied. We will interview them on the spot, and they could get a job offer by the end of that day, background check, and we could get them in by the end of the week depending on how long that takes,” Friend said.

“For our full-time associates especially, if you’re interested in coming on, we start at $15 an hour. We do have PTO benefits, medical benefits and everything. So there’s a lot of great reasons to join Belk. A lot of great flexible schedules and our family here at Belk is really great to work with,” Friend said.

The stores participating in the job fair will be interviewing and hiring at their mall location so people can go to straight to the places they’re interested in applying. A full list of stores participating in the hiring event is available on the Crabtree website.
