NORTH CAROLINA — A storm system brought cold weather to parts of North Carolina for a third weekend in a row.

North Carolina woke up to snow in parts of the state Saturday morning. Much heavier snow was falling throughout the day across the northeastern United States as a strong area of low pressure moved up the East Coast.

North Carolina experienced a cold and windy day, but this storm produced little freezing rain.
