Imagine reaching the pinnacle of your profession and then having it all come crashing down.

This week on Tying It Together With Tim Boyum, we go a little outside of the box to discuss and learn about leadership from former UNC Men’s Basketball Coach Matt Doherty.

Doherty played for the Tar Heels during the early ‘80s and won a national championship alongside Michael Jordan in 1982. In 2000, he was named head coach at his alma mater but was then forced to resign after just three seasons.

Coach Doherty’s story is one of reaching the peak, falling down, and picking yourself back up.

Tim also talks with Doherty about his new book, Rebound: From Pain to Passion, where he describes the leadership lessons learned during his rollercoaster of a time at Carolina. It’s a candid and emotional interview that you will want to hear even if you are not a sports nut.
