CANTON, Ohio —Behind the stone and iron archway is 55 acres of premier dining, a winery and resort.

  • It has 5 acres of vineyards, Tuscan-inspired villas and Italian cuisine at 3 restaurants
  • 3 different wines are made from Gervasi's own vineyards and more than 30 wines are imported
  • You can book a night's stay in their luxury villas or upscale boutique hotel

It's nationally recognized, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors worldwide every year.

"You travel around the United States and even out of the country, you don't see many places that have all of this," said Jerry Risner, executive chef at Gervasi Vineyard.

Gervasi Vineyard is a household name in Northeast Ohio.

About 5 miles north of downtown Canton, you can stroll the grounds, overlooking 5 acres of vineyards, Tuscan-inspired villas and Italian cuisine at three different restaurants.

"From the moment you've arrived, you feel like you've escaped somewhere special and while we have all these different components, the grounds are absolutely beautiful," said Scott Swaldo, general manager/owner of Gervasi Vineyard.

The Crush House is a great place to start. It offers a contemporary bistro-style Italian menu in a modern industrial setting.

"We're really proud to make a lot of our own pasta, sauces, desserts... it's really a scratch-made kitchen with fresh and local ingredients," said Swaldo.

The Bistro offers upscale-rustic Italian food in a historic, renovated barn.

Mouthwatering dishes, such as Seafood Chitarra and Miele Maiale, are fan favorites.

For your nightcap, The Still House meets all your needs. It’s a coffee house by day, and cocktail lounge by night.

Three different wines are made from Gervasi's own vineyards and more than 30 wines are imported from Italy and other parts of the U.S.

Here, it's a one-stop shop. From wine and distillery tours, to weddings and corporate events, you can book a night's stay in luxury villas or The Casa — an upscale boutique hotel.

"It's a day, it's a whole day or a whole weekend when you come here, there's so much to see, so many different buildings," said Risner.

What started as a family business almost 10 years ago is now a world-class destination, unique to the Buckeye state.

"It really just started out as something we could do as a family and it quickly grew into something much bigger. I know that our community has really embraced us and is proud of what they have right here in their backyard," said Swaldo.

March 2020 will mark the 10th anniversary for Gervasi Vineyard. Events will be happening all month long, including promotions at The Still House, The Bistro and The Crush House.
