BRYAN, Ohio — Daavlin, a company in northwest Ohio, is among those forging the way to address the need to help keep healthcare workers who treat coronavirus patients safe.

Daavlin's headquarters and manufacturing facility are in Bryan, Ohio. That's in Williams County.

The company makes phototherapy equipment to treat skin disorders.

Within the past several days, Daavlin has figured out a way to repurpose those devices in order to build machines that disinfect facial masks — an essential piece of personal protective equipment.

Spectrum News 1 had the opportunity to speak with Bob Golding, who is the company’s director of research.
