According to federal statistics, about 10.5% of adults in Ohio have diabetes.

It's a disease that can be managed and in some cases even prevented, but it's a complex subject.

To that end, Spectrum News spoke to  Dr. Griffin Rodgers, Director of the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, to discuss the issue.
