Katie Kapusta is a multimedia journalist in Cincinnati for Spectrum News 1, Ohio, and a Columbus, Ohio native.

Katie started her career at WFIE in Evansville, Indiana, as the bureau reporter in Owensboro, Kentucky. During her time in Owensboro, she covered breaking news, severe weather, sports, community impact stories, and feature stories.

A graduate of Indiana University’s Media School in 2017, she also minored in entrepreneurship and business at the Kelley School of Business. While at IU, Katie reported from the sidelines of basketball, soccer, and volleyball games for Big Ten Network Student U. Katie also rode three years in the Little 500, a storied bike race each April on campus.

Katie is a graduate from Upper Arlington High School, where she discovered her love of storytelling and broadcast. Katie is ecstatic to be back in her home state and much closer to family and friends. She has loved making Cincinnati her home with her new husband. 

When she isn’t reporting, Katie likes exercising, cooking, watching sports, and trying new restaurants with friends.
