Hawaii has reported 1,736 new cases of COVID-19 within the last week, bringing the statewide total to 245,035, according to the Hawaii Department of Health.

Seventeen new deaths were reported, bringing the statewide death toll to 1,407.

The bulk of the cases were reported on Oahu, with 1,212. Maui is next with 206, followed by Hawaii Island with 150, Kauai with 88, Molokai with 7, and Lanai with 3.

There were 70 cases from out-of-state visitors.

The statewide vaccination rate stands at 1,097,822, with 77.2% residents fully vaccinated. Honolulu County reported the highest vaccination rate among its residents at 81%. Kauai County follows with 72% fully vaccinated, Maui County stands at 70% and Hawaii County at 68%. 

The DOH reports that 560,805 boosters have been administered.
