Liam Neeson and his son Micheál Neeson said that there were some heavy therapeutic scenes in the movie, but the two were able to work through their memories of Liam's late wife, Natasha Richardson.

Richardson, who was also Micheál's mother, was perhaps best known for playing Lindsay Lohan's mother in The Parent Trap. She tragically lost her life in a skiing accident while vacationing in Canada in 2009.

"There wasn’t one cathartic moment on set, which I was anticipating there to be, it wasn’t it was just the whole project. Even now doing press for it and its release, the whole thing feels special and sort of magical in a way," said Micheál.

The accomplished Irish actor did say there were some emotional moments while filming.

“There’s certain emotional scenes in the film cause of our tragic background 10 or 11 years ago, Micheál lost his mother, I lost my wife, there were emotions that were easily accessed, let’s put it that way,” Liam said.

Liam felt very comfortable working with his 25-year-old son, saying, "When we were shooting the film we didn’t act like, 'Oh I must act like a father or Micheál must like a son,' we just are, he’s my son. I’m his dad, so we didn’t have to act that or worry about it you know?"
