GLENDALE, Calif. — New watering restrictions come into effect for Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers on June 1.

Outdoor watering will be limited to two days per week, at the moment the limit is three days per week. Watering with sprinklers will be limited to 8 minutes at each station.

In nearby Glendale, conservation efforts have been in place since August of last year. In February, the city implemented a two day per week restriction.

Residents can water on Tuesdays and Saturdays for 10 minutes at each station. Glendale Water and Power also encourage all residents to water early in the morning or later in the evening and to fix any leaks quickly to avoid wasting water.
