Redondo Beach's Seaside Lagoon, the recent home of the BeachLife Festival, is hoping to continue its string of recent festival hits with the South Bay Rocktoberfest, which brings back the music — if not the musicians of the best bands of the '70s and '80s.

The Rocktoberfest runs Friday through Sunday, as a "weekend of beer, brats, burgers and rock and roll," and will feature tribute bands, such as Which One's Pink, DSB, Fan Halen, Kissed Alive, Hollywood U2, Queen Nation, Led Zepagain and Aeromyth performing the tunes of Pink Floyd, Journey, Van Halen, Kiss, U2, Queen, Led Zeppelin and Aerosmith.

Promoter Steve Hodges is no stranger to neighborhood festivals; his restaurant, the Ragin' Cajun Cafe, has previously hosted blues festivals and music-filled fundraisers and previously sponsored a crawfish jamboree at Seaside Lagoon.

Tickets start at $30, with single-day VIP tickets topping out at $120. Proceeds from the event will support the American Cancer Society and Beach Cities Relay for Life.
