FRANKFORT, Ky. - Voters in two Kentucky legislative districts will have the opportunity to vote for new representatives in February.

Governor Andy Beshear set a special election for Feb. 25 in Kentucky's 99th and 67th House Districts.

The two men who represented those districts were picked for roles in Beshear's administration. Rocky Adkins, the former 99th District representative, now serves as Beshear's senior advisor. Dennis Keene, the former 67th District representative, now serves as commissioner of the Department of Local Government.

Candidates have until 4 p.m. on Jan. 7 to register for those races.

District 99 includes Elliott, Lewis and Rowan counties. District 67 includes part of Campbell County.
