Crystal Sicard joined Spectrum News 1 in January 2020 after graduating from the University of Indianapolis.

The Brookfield, Wisconsin native is a multimedia journalist in our Lexington bureau and so far she is loving her time in Kentucky.

Crystal's approach to each story is to do the best she can every day and tell the best story she possibly can.  She believes telling stories is important because people often need help and getting the word out is the best way to do so.

In her short time with Spectrum, Crystal has enjoyed getting to see the different parts of the state. One of her favorite stories happened in Carlisle, Kentucky, a small town hoping to win a makeover in the HGTV "Hometown Takeover" contest.

When she isn't chasing stories, you might find Crystal grabbing lunch at Canes or taking care of her six-month-old puppy.  She loves shopping, cooking, and crafting.

She says one of the best things about Kentucky is seeing wild horses roaming around the countryside.
