LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Ahead of its reopening this morning, the Louisville Zoo's webstore crashed twice due to a system overload caused by a large number of members trying to purchase tickets. The Zoo is now introducing an alternative method for members to submit ticket reservation requests.

What You Need To Know

  • Zoo webstore crashes twice ahead of reopening

  • Now introducing new method for requesting tickets

Members can fill out a reservation request online, and requests will be fulfilled in the order they're received until no tickets are left. If tickets are available, applicants will receive the tickets by email; however, tickets are not guaranteed.

The Zoo reported a total of 3,486 membership reservation requests with over 13,889 tickets requested June 11.

Now officially open, the Zoo will begin to process reservation request submissions June 12 and recipients will be notified. An announcement will be made if dates and time are still available after all submissions are processed.

Anyone without a ticket will not be allowed into the Zoo.
