WAUWATOSA (SPECTRUM NEWS) -- Grocery stores are issuing new warnings to shoppers to make sure they are keeping their distance when going to any open businesses.

OutPost Natural Foods issued a warning to their shoppers across the state, saying if people don’t aide by the rules, they won’t be able to stay open during the pandemic.

Margaret Mittlestadt from Outpost in Wauwatosa says, “when people come to the grocery store it's a normal thing to do right? So we’re just encouraging people don’t leave their guard down when they come to store, be aware there is a pandemic and we need to continue social distancing.”

Mittelstadt also recommends using a debit or credit if possible to avoid using cash that has a higher risk of contamination.
