At Madison Area Technical College this month, the school once again is offering 150 pre-selected at-risk children a free check-up.

The rest of the community can also receive the service, insurance free, for $35.

For some time, the school kept appointments to a minimum due to limited PPE.

But now the team said they can safely continue with a few new pandemic safety precautions.

"There are no aerosols. That's probably one of the biggest difference we're not generating aerosols, and our college was wonderful enough to purchase air purifier vacuum systems,"  MATC Dental Hygiene Instructor Barbara DeBoer said.

Before anyone receives a cleaning, she said patients undergo a temperature check and a COVID screening.

"I just wish more people knew about us because it is such an amazing service out there and it is so affordable," DeBoer said.
