NATIONWIDE  A new poll indicates Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden enjoys a significant advantage over rival President Donald Trump when it comes to people who chose to skip voting in 2016 but intend to in November.

The poll, released Wednesday by the University of Southern California Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, found 52 percent of people who didn’t vote in 2016 but intend to this time plan on voting for Biden. Thirty-two percent of participants indicated they will vote for Trump and 16 percent said they intend to vote for a third-party candidate.

The poll, which indicates an 11 percent Biden advantage among all voters, also found that 88 percent of respondents who voted for Trump in 2016 will do so again while 9 percent will vote for Biden. Four percent indicated they will choose another candidate.

Of the respondents who voted for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in 2016, 92 percent said they will vote for Biden. Just 4 percent indicated they will vote for Trump or a third-party candidate. The results are from early poll data and the complete results are expected in the near future. The poll has a margin of error of 3 percent.
