Alyson Bruner is an Illinois native and grew up just a stone’s throw away from the Wisconsin border. Alyson recalls visiting the Racine and Milwaukee County Zoo and frequently visiting the Brat Stop in Kenosha. With amazing memories of the area as a child, Alyson has always held The Badger State close to her heart. Today, Alyson is a proud, and decorated, anchor and reporter for Spectrum News 1. With two regional Emmy awards and various community awards, Alyson can’t wait to be involved in community events here.

Throughout the countless stories told, Alyson recalls her most meaningful as the 2015 World Series. Traveling with the Kansas City Royals and their fans to Toronto and New York City, sharing their stories along the path to the Championship was memorable on many levels. The experience of being on the field minutes after the Royals won their first World Series title since 1985 was something she describes as truly incredible. When it comes to Alyson’s approach to her work, she says it all comes down to your attitude. There will always be good days and bad days, but she describes it as attitude will bring you altitude and then the future is your aptitude.

When Alyson isn’t in the newsroom, you can find her going on a walk, heading to the beach, grabbing pizza at Bernie’s or simply spending quality time with her friends and family.
