MILWAUKEE— Getting teachers vaccinated continues to be a top priority for state and local leaders.

Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett announced a partnership with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and the Medical College of Wisconsin Wednesday morning. Barrett said city and health officials have worked to “move heaven and earth” to make sure they are getting vaccines in the arms of educators, efficiently, by mid-March.

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin officials said more than 100 volunteers are already signed up to help with vaccination efforts for educators.

Starting Monday, March 8, staff from the Milwaukee health department, Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, and the Medical College of Wisconsin, will be at North Division High School and at the Mitchell Street Library from 1-7 p.m.

On Wednesday, March 10, staff from the same three groups will be at South Division High School from 1-7 p.m. and at Villard Library from 3-7 p.m. These clinics will be for educators only.

The high school locations are specifically for Milwaukee Public School District staff, while the library locations will be open to all educators.
