ORLANDO, Fla. — A new permit has been filed for the upcoming Tron coaster at Disney's Magic Kingdom.

The permit filed Thursday calls for workers to "install ride steel," most likely the coaster's track.

The installation will be done by Coastal Steel Inc., which worked on other Disney World projects such as Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom and Disney's Blizzard Beach water park.

Permits filed early last year signaled the start of site preparation work on the Tron project. Since then, the area has been cleared and concrete poured.

Tomorrowland Speedway and the Walt Disney World Railroad are currently closed to make way for Tron. The new attraction is expected to be completed in 2021, just in time for Disney World's 50th anniversary celebration.
