ORLANDO, Fla. – Walt Disney World will begin celebrating its 50th anniversary on Oct. 1.

As part of the celebration, Disney World will install gold character statues across all four theme parks, and the first sets of statues have started to appear at Magic Kingdom.

On Thursday, Disney shared photos of some of the statues, including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip ‘n’ Dale.

The statues are part of what Disney is calling its Fab 50 Character Collections. Over the past couple of months, Disney has been announcing the different characters that will be part of the lineup.

Other character statues that will be in the parks include Timon and Pumbaa, Edna Mode, R2-D2, Orange Bird and Figment.

Disney World’s 18-month celebration will also include the debut of two new nighttime shows —“Disney Enchantment” at Magic Kingdom and “Harmonious” at Epcot.
