The resort’s holiday festivities will kick off Nov. 13 and run through Jan. 2.

Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s will once again fill the streets of Universal Studios Florida. It will feature more than 30 large balloons, themed floats, performers, characters from “Shrek” and “Despicable Me,” and an appearance from Santa Claus.

The parade was absent from last year’s lineup because of the pandemic. In place of the traditional parade, Universal set up some of the parade floats and balloons in one of its sound stages as part of a walk-through experience.

The “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular,” a live retelling of Dr. Seuss’s “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” is also back after a one-year break. It will be part of the holiday offerings at Islands of Adventure. The land also will be decorated for the holidays with large candy canes, Christmas trees, wreaths and tinsel.

Islands of Adventure will also have “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle,” the nighttime projection show at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade. The show features Christmas moments inspired by the Harry Potter films.

Hogsmeade and The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley will receive holiday decorations. There will also be live entertainment, with The Frog Choir performing in Hogsmeade and Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees in Diagon Alley.

The holiday celebration will also include themed food and beverage options, merchandise and more. Universal said more details will be shared “soon.”
