ORLANDO, Fla. — Universal Orlando has opened a new quiet room for visitors with autism.

​The room, designed by Universal Creative and the Guest Safety and Accessibility teams, is located at Universal Studios Florida next to the Studio Audience Center at the front of the park.

It offers a space for visitors who may need a sensory break from the noise and crowds at the parks. The room has an activity wall with tactile toys as well as sensory tunnels.

Visitors don’t need to reserve the room, which is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

In addition to the new quiet room, Universal offers a planning guide for visitors who have autism. The guide includes descriptions of attractions and a list of quiet areas around the parks.
