On Tuesday, Wild Florida shared pictures and videos of the baby gator, which arrived last weekend. It was the only one out of 9 eggs from parents Snowflake and Blizzard to hatch.

“This is our third year in a row of babies and Wild Florida remains the only park on the planet that has successfully bred albino alligators,” Wild Florida co-owner Sam Haught said in a statement.

Albino alligators, which are rare, lack the pigment melanin, resulting in their white and pink coloring.  The lack of melanin also makes an albino gator’s skin extremely sensitive to sunlight.

It may be a few weeks before park visitors can see the new baby gator in-person, however, other albino gators, including Snowflake and Blizzard are visible at the park.

In addition to gators, Wild Florida also has a drive-through safari that features more than 100 native and exotic animals.
