The Government Accountability Office reports the Census Bureau is at risk of not being ready for the 2020 count. the U.S. Census Bureau is behind in recruiting workers and establishing partnerships with civic groups, and it is at risk of missing some informational technology testing goals.  We talk readiness with key leaders in Florida working on the state’s Census action plan and the Statewide Complete Count Committee. We will also explore the impact the Census could have on more than 130 state programs. The 2020 Census started last month in a remote part of rural Alaska. But the rest of the nation won't be able to start answering the questionnaire until the middle of March. For the first time, the U.S. Census Bureau is encouraging most participants to fill out the form online, although they can still answer the questions by telephone or by returning a paper form. We will explore these new methods and the questions people are being asked. Plus, the dynamics behind organization efforts in Florida – timeline, funding and goals.
