ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — It was a deadly morning on roadways around Orlando early Saturday.

Two crashes, one involving a pedestrian, left four people dead.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crashes happened on Pine Hills Road at North Lane and own Center Boulevard and Mallard Cove Boulevard.

The first crash happened at 5:30 a.m.

Troopers said a pedestrian was in a cross walk but was crossing against the light when he or she was struck on Pine Hills Road by a 2009 green Dodge Challenger, which then fled the scene. The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was taken to Orlando Health where they later died.

The Dodge Challenger was later located in the Apopka area where troopers took possession of it for evidence evaluation.

The driver of the car has not yet been identified, investigators said. 

A few hours later, troopers responded to the scene of a separate two-vehicle crash on Town Center Boulevard in the Hunter Creek area at about 7:30 a.m.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was hit by a speeding 2004 Honda Civic as it turned left from Mallard Cove Boulevard onto Town Center Boulevard.

Troopers said three men — the 37-year-old driver and 56-year-old passenger of the Equinox, and the 18-year-old driver of the Civic — were transported to Osceola Regional Medical Center where they were pronounced dead.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
