ORLANDO, Fla. — To mark its 30th anniversary next year, the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will go “retro.”

​The runDisney event, which will be held Jan. 4-8, will feature a throwback 90s theme.

Some of the artwork for the different racing events was released Thursday along with the slogan, “30 Years of Running.” The designs feature different characters such as Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, Goofy and Pluto.

The marathon weekend includes a 5K, 10K, half-marathon (13.1 miles) and a full marathon (26.2 miles). Runners can also participate in the Dopey Challenge, which involves completing all four marathon weekend races. There will also be virtual races available.

General registration for the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will open April 19 at 10 a.m. Registration for the virtual races will open April 22 at 10 a.m.
