ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Time is running out to register to vote with just a month till Florida’s primary election. Monday is the last day you can register, if you haven’t already.
What You Need To Know
- The Supervisor of Elections office is open Saturday for voter registration from now until 4 p.m.
- The supervisor says it’s to help those who can’t come in during normal business hours
- Monday, July 25 is the last day to register to vote and change party affiliation
The office is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The office will also be open late Monday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The deadline to register to vote for the August 23 election is Monday. It's also the deadline to change party affiliation.

Florida is a closed primary state, which means only Democrats can vote in the Democratic primary and only Republicans can vote in the Republican primary.
Bill Cowles, the county's supervisor of elections, says it helps make sure voters who can't come in during normal business hours can still meet the deadline.
"We've been training workers, we've been preparing materials, and we've been also communicating to the voters all of these things so they'll go and participate in the election," Cowles said.
Orange County has non-partisan contests on the ballot, so even third-party voters or those with no party affiliation will have something to vote on.
