But other students will be returning to school, along with all student activities resuming and sports games will be scheduled at each school’s discretion.

According to the school district, all bus stops appear to be in good shape, but they ask for patience as there could be some delays due to issues on the road.

There is no word yet on when Riverdale Elementary School will be able to open its doors again due to heavy flooding.

“ I had the opportunity to visit Riverdale and it’s much improved. The pictures we saw earlier— the damage is quite extensive. And will take some time to repair,” said Orange County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Maria F. Vazquez.

There will be an open house Wednesday for Riverdale Elementary School students at the East River High School from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
