ORLANDO, Fla. — SeaWorld Orlando has unveiled the ride vehicle for its upcoming 2023 attraction, Pipeline: The Surf Coaster.
The reveal was part of a news conference during the IAAPA Expo on Tuesday.

The vehicle features a large surfboard-like platform that riders will stand on as well as the harnesses that will keep them in place.
While on Pipeline, riders won’t be sitting — the harness will move vertically instead, to create the sensation that they are riding the waves.
The coaster will reach speeds of up to 60 mph.
The ride is being manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard, the same company behind SeaWorld’s Mako and Manta coasters.
Pipeline is set to debut in spring 2023, and according to officials, construction is on target to meet that timeline.
“We’ve started erecting the station building and erecting the ride,” said Jonathan Smith, vice president of rides and engineering for SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. “Those two are kind of going on hand-in-hand. And we’re beginning ride electrical installation.”
Once completed, Pipeline will be SeaWorld’s seventh coaster.
