ORLANDO, Fla. — The Wheel at ICON Park is expected to remain closed for maintenance "for the next few days," ICON Park announced in a statement Monday.

"The technical team is conducting maintenance on The Wheel and, as per our protocols, the attraction will be reviewed by Florida state ride inspectors prior to reopening," the statement said. "Updates on opening will be provided on our website and social.”

On Saturday, at least 62 people had to be rescued from the ride by Orange County Fire Rescue officials, who said the ride experienced a power failure. They responded just past 6:30 p.m., and riders began disembarking around 8 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

ICON Park said the following in a statement:

"All guests in The Wheel have safely disembarked after the attraction lost power on Saturday night."

The incident is currently being investigated.
