Queens residents help feed some of their neighbors to celebrate a Muslim holiday.

The Turkish Cultural Center donated 500 pounds of ground beef to clients at the Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement senior center Tuesday.

The distribution was to celebrate Eid al-Adha; it's the festival of sacrifice, which commemorates the Muslim prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his son at God's request. Part of the holiday requires Muslims to share with their relatives and neighbors.

"It's always a heartwarming, heartfelt feeling to know that somebody else cares. That, that, that makes you feel all warm and fuzzy," said Marilyn Jones, who participated in the event.

The donation is part of international hunger advocacy nonprofit Embrace Relief's annual Qurban Drive.
