WEBSTER, N.Y. — Throughout February, there are some fun incentives to inspire you to visit businesses throughout the village and town of Webster. Merchants there are hoping you ‘Fall in Love with Webster.’

Lisa Schlonski moved to Webster 31 years ago. She lives and works in Webster.

“Everyone knows each other and everybody is friendly,” Schlonski said.

She’s doing what she can to help get more people out and about around town and in the village to shop, eat and stay awhile. She created a Facebook page, Fall in Love with Webster.

“You scroll down quick on events and you’ll see a whole bunch of different things that are going on right now,” Schlonski said. “Performance Hobbies, which is one of Rochester’s largest hobby shops is having a huge sale. Nest Things, which is a secondhand store with incredible taste is having a month-long sale. We have the smoke shop and we have Heart to Heart Bride. All different kinds of businesses are participating.”

"Yesterday's Muse Book Store has a blind date book sale. Carl's Pizza has heart-shaped pizzas on Wednesday and Roc City Burger has thirty Thursdays," said Jody Laurer from Lala's.

Some of the places Schlonski hopes you visit are her shops, Lala’s and Whimsies. They are full of some of her favorite things.

“I am on Main Street,” Schlonski said. “I have repeat customers who come in once a week, so it has turned into a family. I think it is just the joy of being part of a landscape that is growing and that people are just so excited to have because they haven’t had anything like this in a long time.”
