ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Three pediatric vaccination sites in the Rochester City School District will be offering $100 in gift cards as a thank you for getting a child vaccinated against COVID-19.

According to Monroe County Executive Adam Bello, the gift cards will be given in two increments. The first $50 will be given when a child age 5-11 receives the first dose. The second $50 gift card will be given later when the child receives the second dose. All children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

The gift cards are only available to the first 250 participants.

“Pediatric cases of COVID are on the rise and the best defense is the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine,” said Bello. “Both Superintendent Myers-Small and I want to keep our kids safe and in school. The collaboration with the Rochester City School District expands further our vaccine access sites throughout Rochester.”

“I am grateful to County Executive Bello for the tremendous opportunity the county is giving our students and families,” said RCSD Superintendent Dr. Lesli MyersSmall. “It is extremely important that people get vaccinated. These clinics provide a vehicle to minimize the spread of COVID-19.”

The three vaccination clinics where the gift cards will be available will run from 4-7 p.m. at the following locations:

  • January 18 — Mary McLeod Bethune School No. 45, 1445 Clifford Avenue, 14621
  • January 25 — Roberto Clemente Public School No. 8, 1180 St. Paul Street, 14621
  • January 27 — Helen Barrett Montgomery School No. 50, 301 Seneca Avenue, 14621
