Police have released the names of two men shot and killed Thursday night in Rochester, in one of four shootings that occured Thursday night.

Nazier McFadden, 21, and Amir Starks, 19, both of Rochester, died after police say someone approached their vehicle and opened fire through the windshield. This happened just before midnight at the Sunoco station on West Main Street near Reynolds Street.

McFadden was pronounced dead at the scene, while Starks died after being transferred to URMC.

Police tell Spectrum News there were several people in the parking lot at the time of the shooting.

"There was also several children that were present that unfortunately witnessed the incident... or were present when the incident occurred. It's difficult for anybody but it is even more difficult for children who are present when this nonsense is taking place," said Capt. Frank Umbrino of the Rochester Police Department.

Police also responded to two other shootings overnight.

A 15-year-old boy was shot once on Santee Street around 10:30 p.m. Thursday and a 36-year-old man was shot on Genesee Street around midnight. Both of them are expected to recover.

No arrests have been made in any of the incidents.

Police are investigating, and asking anyone with information to call 911 or email MajorCrimes@cityofrochester.gov.
