FAIRPORT, N.Y. —Some local Boys Scouts took time this weekend to honor those who once fought for the United States.

Boy Scout Troop 208 in Fairport celebrated the true meaning of Memorial Day by placing American flags at the graves of 120 veterans in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

The troop has continued this tradition for years, but had to suspend the tradition last year due to the pendemic.
