Finally, some good news for anyone fighting flooding along Lake Ontario.

International leaders say water levels are starting to stabilize and might be at their peak.

The International Lake Ontario- St. Lawrence River Board said it's now increasing outflows to 10,000 cubic meters per second, the highest amount on record.

The board said increasing outflows, combined with warm, dry weather expected later this week, could cause lake levels to decrease soon.

Water levels hit a new record of 248.98 feet last weekend, surpassing the previous record set in 2017.
