ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Although Rochester’s Accordion Man Walter Pomar passed away earlier this month, his legacy still lives on.

A local company decided to make t-shirts honoring Pomar and will donate some of the proceeds to the Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Dapper Moose Entertainment is making the t-shirts available to the public. They cost $20, with $2 of every purchase being donated to the Music Therapy Department at Golisano’s.

The company says it wanted to remember Pomar while also giving back to the community.

"It's just such an incredible thing that music brings so much joy to people, and he brought that to people just because he wanted to. He was so kind and caring from all accounts, so we really wanted to make sure that that was something that could be turned into something wonderful to help kids in the future," Alex Johnson from Dapper Moose Entertainment said.

"Anybody who visited any sporting event or really any place around Rochester for decades came across him in some way and probably engaged with him in some way. He was an icon," customer Debbie Nothnagle added.

The t-shirts can be purchased here.
