ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A rally calling for an end to gun violence was held in Rochester Friday after two recent shootings where a young man died.

The rally was held along Trenaman Street and North Clinton Avenue, near where Lysaun Curry, 18, was shot and killed earlier this month.

Organizers say they held the rally to demonstrate that gun violence will not be tolerated.

The rally was organized by Action for a Better Community, a local organization that promotes opportunities for low-income individuals.
