ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two teens are now charged with murder after the man they are accused of setting on fire last week on Lyell Avenue has died.

Zayvion Perry, 16, and Adriel Riley Jr., 14, are charged with second-degree murder.

They are accused of going into the apartment of Steven Amenhauser, 53, and dousing him with flammable liquid before setting him on fire. Amenhauser suffered burns over more than 70% of his body before he died.

There is still no word on a motive, but police say this was not a domestic incident.

Riley is being held without bail and Perry is being held on $50,000 cash bail, both at the county's children's center.

The Monroe County District Attorney's office says Perry will be prosecuted as an adolescent offender. Riley will be prosecuted as a juvenile offender. Both will be tried in youth part of superior court, not family court.

Captain Frank Umbrino said Amenhauser previously lost his wife, and then his long time girlfriend died in October.

"I've seen the pictures of this guy and knowing he has no family around to speak for him," Umbrino said. "This is one that I'll remember."

Umbrino says this is a case that will stick with him forever.
