SAN ANTONIO - According to a lawsuit filed Wednesday, a Bexar County woman accusing a former Uber driver of rape is seeking a jury trial.

The woman has filed suit against the former driver, identified as Juan Diego Ontiveros, as well as the ride-sharing company.

According to the lawsuit, on the night of Feb. 25, 2017, the victim was celebrating a birthday with friends in downtown San Antonio.

After drinking alcohol, the woman requested a ride with Uber. Ontiveros responded and agreed to drive the woman to her destination, located about 10 minutes away on the East Side.

The lawsuit claims Ontiveros instead drove the woman around the block three times and then drove 30 miles to Northwest San Antonio where he brought her inside a house and raped her.
