CONVERSE, Texas — A suspect is no longer in custody related to a shooting that happened at a at the community pool and playground in Converse Sunday. 

The suspect was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, but after further investigation, the suspect was released.

Authorities intially believed that the suspect had ties to the shooting of a teen on Sunday. The teenage victim is on life support.

The name of the victim has yet to be released.

On Sunday, just after 3 p.m., Converse police responded to a call of shots fired where they found a 17-year-old had been shot in the head. 

The community pool and playground where the shooting happened is located on the 10100 block of MacArthur Way.

Police said the victim had been involved in an argument with another man over a package. 

The shooting is still under investigation, and no arrests have been made at this time.
