SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio native and best-selling author Shea Serrano put out a call to action on Twitter Saturday, encouraging people to donate to the San Antonio Food Bank so they could feed people during the coronavirus pandemic.

In the first 30 minutes, nearly $12,000 had been raised. Around 7:30 p.m., people had donated $99,500, and with Serrano’s original $500, the $100,000 mark was reached.
