TEXAS — Texas is one of the most diverse states in the nation, and it’s getting more so. In fact, the Lone Star State only ranks behind California when it comes to diversity. That’s among the findings in a WalletHub study that drew on U.S. 2020 census data.

The diversity score of each state is calculated based on six key diversity categories that include economic diversity, political diversity and religious diversity.

The U.S. Census Bureau predicts that the country will no longer have a single ethnic majority, currently non-Hispanic whites, by 2045.
