Blessing Iwuchukwu is a Multimedia Journalist based out of San Antonio.

Blessing was born in Nigeria and moved to America when she was just five years old. She first caught the journalism bug after joining the staff at her high school newspaper her junior year.

She was chosen as a student DJ for Mesquite’s local radio station, 88.5 KEOM, during her senior year of high school and got back into the radio world when she worked as a Promotions Assistant for Cumulus Media while in college at the University of North Texas.

Also while in college, Blessing interned at the U.S. House of Representatives, where she was picked as the first Media Intern in the history of the Dallas Police Department.

Blessing graduated from the UNT with a bachelor’s in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Communications.

After school, she started her professional career as a morning producer and on-air talent at KAMR Local 4 News in Amarillo. She later became an MMJ and interim weekend anchor and producer for KAMR and FOX 14 News.

She moved to Dallas after being hired as an associate producer, and was later promoted to producer at FOX 4 News. Blessing is married and has two sons: Benjamin, who is two years old, and Gabriel, who is four months old. She speaks Igbo (one of the many languages and tribes in Nigeria) and took Spanish from 2nd grade until her sophomore year of college. You would think she’s fluent in Spanish after all those years, but sadly, she’s not. Blessing likes to be active and sing karaoke, and she considers food to be her love language.
