ST. LOUIS – Richmond Heights landed on a national list as one of the “Best Suburbs to Live in America” according to the ranking by Niche. The suburb came in eight.

Niche says the rankings provide a comprehensive assessment of the overall livability of an area. It looks at key factors like location, cost of living, quality of schools, crime rates, housing trends, employment statistics, and access to amenities.  

Richmond Heights earned an overall A+ on the Niche Report Card. The suburb did earn the highest score for public schools, good for families, and nightlife. It did earn a grade of C for crime and safety.

The report also says Richmond Heights offers residents a dense suburban feel where most residents own their homes. It also points out lots of young professionals live in Richmond Heights and residents have moderate political views.

The suburb is also ranked the Best Suburb in Missouri, the Best Place to Live in Missouri, and the Best Suburb for Young Professionals in Missouri.

Four other local suburbs made the top 50:

  • 14-Clayton
  • 15-Brenwtood
  • 30-Chesterfield 
  • 46-Frontenac 

Niche says it provides comprehensive profiles on schools, colleges, and communities to help students and parents find the right fit for them. It says its goal for the Best Places to Live rankings is to provide accurate and comparable evaluations.
