ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. A St. Petersburg family knows firsthand about childhood cancer and on Saturday, they are hosting their third lemonade stand for Lemonade Days.

  • Caroline Gallagher was 18 months old when diagnosed with leukemia
  • She is hoping to raise at least $2,000 for Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital
  • You can donate to her lemonade stand C&C Lemonade Factory here

The Gallagher Family is hoping to raise at least $2,000 to donate to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital.

They are going to get more money for the doctors to get better care for the children who suffer from illnesses.

It is something that hits home for the family. Caroline Gallagher is only 5 years old and she is a cancer survivor who turned philanthropist with the C&C Lemonade Factory.

When Caroline was 18 months old she was diagnosed with leukemia and shortly after, her cousin was diagnosed with cancer too.

Both girls went through treatment and while Caroline is currently cancer free, her cousin passed away.

Now, the Gallagher Family say they are determined to help fight childhood cancer.

"Childhood cancer is a very large illness for children nationwide and worldwide. It's not a rare illness that kids get like people think. Many folks are touched by it more than people think," said father Charles Gallagher.
