We are compiling a county-by-county list of how Bay Area health departments are handling the COVID vaccine as it relates to ages 12-15.

We will update this list as more information becomes available.

PINELLAS COUNTY

The Florida Department of Health in Pinellas County (DOH-Pinellas) has started scheduling appointments for Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccines for students who are 12-to-15 years old, per new guidelines.

Four of its centers will offer the two-dose vaccine on a rotating schedule that starts on Monday, May 17.

Vaccines are provided at no cost with an appointment and the parent or guardian must accompany the minor. To make an appointment at the St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Mid-County or Pinellas Park centers, call (727) 824-6931.

Vaccines will be provided in St. Petersburg and Clearwater on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; at Mid-County and Pinellas Park, they will be provided on Tuesdays and Thursdays. (The Pinellas Park center will reopen during the week of May 24.)

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY

Minors 12 years old or older can now receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. A parent or legal guardian must be present when the vaccination occurs.

There is no out-of-pocket cost to receive the COVID-19 vaccine at any of the above locations. A doctor’s note or prescription is not required. Health insurance information is being collected in accordance with federal guidance; however, you will not be asked to pay a copay or deductible if vaccinated at a public vaccination location. Individuals who do not have health insurance will still be vaccinated.
